The area around Sommières is packed with things to enjoy if you fancy days out from the campsite!
🏛️ Leaving from the campsite, you'll find activities for all tastes nearby. A superb time is guaranteed, whether it's exploring the medieval city of Aigues-Mortes or the Roman city of Nîmes.
🏰History buffs will love the remains of the medieval town of Sommières: the Roman Bridge and Castle will take you straigh back to the time of the French monarchy.
🍴 And no trip is complete without a visit to Sommières' weekly market held every Saturday morning! Even better, during summer (July-August), you can head to along the Vidourle to the centre of Sommières where a night market is held on Wednesday evenings. Artisans, designers and producers will be showing off their wares! You'll be able to take home plenty of local products to give to your nearest and dearest on your return from holiday (or to keep for yourself!).
⛱️ And as we all need some downtime, you'll love the endless sandy beaches.
🏞️ And what if you'd rather recharge your batteries in the heart of nature? We highly recommend a walk in the Cévennes, or an outing to the vast wild plains of Camargue.
🍇 Do you love the world of wine ? You're in luck, Domaine de Massereau is also a wine estate, so you can book your vineyard tour with wine tasting directly on site.
💪 For the more adventurous among you, it's up to you to choose between on land and seaside activities.
